Adventurous Ales
Indoor Mural
2022
Indoor mural work for the Butler Brew Works location at the Middlesex crossing In Butler Pennsyvania. The inspiration came naturally and literally from the back yard as the mountainside location of the brewery is surrounded by Pennsylvania wildflowers and insects. The entirety of the design was melded with the gorgeous graphic signature labels displayed on all the Butler Brew Works beer cans to create continuity with their brand while the Artist's liscence was marked with explosive texture and rich color throughout. Itself a microbrewery, the greater theme here is Pennsylvania locally-sourced and the community for which it stands.

"Good tidings we bring,
To you and your kin,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
And A Happy New Year!"
Presumably, the song "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" appeared in the 16th century in the South-West England. Not a single mention of it is in the collections of the 19th century vocal folklore; the song is also missing in the Oxford book of hymns and carols of 1928. In 1935, the Oxford University Press published the choral arrangement by composer Arthur Worrall, and since then the song had gained wide popularity and had become known throughout the world.

"Oh tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
Oh tidings of comfort and joy!"
"God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" is one of the oldest existing Christmas carols, estimated to be dated from the 16th century or earlier. The earliest printed edition of the melody appears to be in a parody, in the 1829 Facetiae of William Hone. It had been traditional and associated with the carol since at least the mid-18th century, when it was recorded by James Nares under the title "The Christmas Carol".

"I heard the bells on Christmas Day,
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet,
The words repeat,
Of peace on earth goodwill to men!"
"I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" is a Christmas carol based on the 1863 poem, "Christmas Bells" by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The song tells of the narrator's despair, upon hearing Christmas bells during the American Civil War, that "hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, goodwill to men". The carol concludes with the bells carrying renewed hope for peace among men
