This painting transcends the limits of the physical and marries the tangible with the intangible through the heart's consciousness. Though the measure of the heart can often be overlooked when discussing cognizance, we as humans, whether actively or subconsciously, gauge each other's hearts constantly when entering or continuing relationships with others. Consider the human heart, the organ that pumps life-giving oxygenated and nutrient-rich blood throughout our bodies on a precise schedule. The heart is the most powerful source of electromagnetic energy in the human body, producing the largest rhythmic electromagnetic field of any of the body’s organs. The heart’s electrical field is about sixty times greater in amplitude than the electrical activity generated by the brain. This field, measured in the form of the infamous electrocardiogram, can be detected anywhere on the surface of the body. Furthermore, the magnetic field produced by the heart is more than one-hundred times greater in strength than the field generated by the brain and can be detected up to three feet away from the body, in all directions, and between people. The timing between pulses of the heart’s magnetic field is modulated by different emotional states, and these magnetic signals generated by the heart have the capacity to affect individuals around them. There is no question, whether we are discussing matters of the heart on a physical, emotional, scientific, or spiritual context, that it is the epicenter for a wealth of energy. Its measure is communicated both electrically and sympathetically, expressing itself in both the physical and the abstract. My subject for the heart comes as a child; uninhibited and accepting. She stands on the other side of a curtain, representing an unveiling towards enlightenment. The Rubik's Cubes throughout the picture plane twist and move towards realization. However, the cube in her hand is complete. The truth is already existing, we only have to open our hearts and receive it completely.

In a time where so many hearts are closed, hurting, and broken, open yours and become a prism for the ever-accessible magnetic Good that is alive and moving so that you may be a part of the greater rainbow of light.

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established.
