Amelia Roebling Knoch House

8"X12"
Acrylic on birch wood panel
2020

Located directly across the United Memorial church office on Main Steet, the charming Victorian facade of the Amelia Roebling Knoch house sets the visual standard for what is to follow in the little town of Saxonburg. Amelia Roebling Knoch was the daughter of Carl Roebling, John Roebling's older brother who cofounded Saxonburg. She was the last direct descendent of the famous family to live in Saxonburg when she died at the age of 96 in 1933. She married Herman Knoch, and their son William and his wife Eva donated land to establish Knoch High School.

Painting is ready to hang with a wire hanging kit, painting continues around the wood panel.
